What do you get when you ask six different women to express their viewpoints on life, love and other weighty matters? Six Chix, the innovative weekly package devoted entirely to the work of female cartoonists.
Six Chix features a comic panel by a different cartoonist for each day of the week. This is a new concept in syndication. Instead of featuring the work of one cartoonist every day of the week, Six Chix presents the work of a talented stable of six cartoonists in rotation.
The cartoons all have a female point of view, but this doesn't mean Six Chix is a collection of gags about fashion, dieting and relationships. It takes wider perspective — it means the events in the cartoons will be driven by female characters and created by women cartoonists.
Already at the start in 2000, 75 papers had signed a contract for Six Chix.
